QR Code Scanner
camera or image

Scan with your camera, or upload / paste a screenshot. Everything is decoded on your device — nothing is uploaded.

Point your camera at a QR code. We'll ask for camera permission — the video stays on your device.

How it works

Scan a QR code in 3 steps

01

Choose camera or image

Use your webcam or phone camera, or upload / paste a screenshot or photo that contains a QR code.

02

Point at the code

Hold the code inside the frame. It is read automatically — no button to press.

03

Use the result

Open the link, copy the text, save the contact or see the Wi-Fi password. Nothing is sent to a server.

What this scanner can read

  • Links — shows the full web address before you open it.
  • Wi-Fi codes — shows the network name and password, with a copy button.
  • Contact cards (vCard) — save the contact straight to your device.
  • Email, SMS, phone and location codes — one tap to act on them.
  • Plain text — copy it anywhere.
Stay safe: QR codes on posters and parking meters are sometimes replaced with stickers that point to scam sites. Always check the website name before entering passwords or payment details.

FAQ

QR scanner questions

Can I scan a QR code from a screenshot or picture?

Yes. Choose "Upload image", drop the file in, or simply paste a screenshot (Ctrl/Cmd + V) anywhere on this page.

How do I scan a QR code on my laptop?

Open this page, allow camera access, and hold the code up to your webcam. Or save the code as an image and upload it.

Is this QR scanner safe?

The scanning happens entirely in your browser — images and camera frames never leave your device. Before opening a link, check the website name we show you; QR codes can point to scam sites just like links in emails.

Why won't my QR code scan?

Common causes: the image is blurry or too small, part of the code is cut off, there is glare, or the colors are inverted (light code on dark background). Move closer, improve the lighting, and keep the whole code in view.

Can I scan a QR code on iPhone without an app?

Yes — open the Camera app and point it at the code. For codes in screenshots or photos, this page works on iPhone too.
