guests join in one scan
Turn your network name and password into a QR code. No more spelling out passwords — and your password never leaves this page.
Make a Wi-Fi QR code in 3 steps
Enter your network
Type the Wi-Fi name (SSID) exactly as it appears on your phone, then the password. Pick the security type — almost every modern router uses WPA/WPA2/WPA3.
Style it for your space
The Wi-Fi preset adds a "Free Wi-Fi" ticket frame and icon. Change the colors to match your café, office or Airbnb.
Print and place it
Download a PNG or PDF and print it on a table card, a frame by the door or the welcome book. Guests point their camera and join.
Where to put your Wi-Fi QR code
What's inside a Wi-Fi QR code?
A Wi-Fi QR code stores a short line of text in a standard format that phone cameras understand:
WIFI:T:WPA;S:Cafe Guest;P:coffee2026;;
T is the security type, S the network name and P the password. When someone scans it, their phone offers to join the network — no typing, no typos.
Tips for a code that always works
- Copy the network name exactly — it's case-sensitive, and spaces count.
- Print it at least 2 × 2 cm (0.8 × 0.8 in); bigger if people scan from across a room.
- Keep strong contrast: a dark pattern on a light background. The checker next to the preview warns you if it might not scan.
- Add a line of text under the code with the network name, for people whose phone can't scan.
Wi-Fi QR code questions
Does a Wi-Fi QR code work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. iPhones (iOS 11 and later) and Android phones (10 and later) can join a network straight from the camera app. Older Android phones may need Google Lens or a scanner app.
Is it safe to put my Wi-Fi password in a QR code?
The password is stored inside the code, so anyone who scans it can join — just like anyone who reads it on a sign. Use a separate guest network for public places. On this site the password is processed only in your browser and never sent to us.
What happens if I change my Wi-Fi password?
A static code keeps the old password, so you will need to make and print a new code. It takes a few seconds and is free.
My network is hidden. Will it still work?
Yes — set "Hidden network" to Yes so phones know to look for it.
Which security type should I choose?
Choose WPA / WPA2 / WPA3 for almost every router made in the last 15 years. Choose None only for an open network without a password.
